Bayley 2003-2010
Bayley was always the sweetest, most loving Golden Retriever you could ever meet. She had a great playful personality and was always seeking attention. We know she had a great life, especially in the hot summer days here in Las Vegas. The days we let her swim in the pool were also the days we couldn’t get her out as you can see from the picture. She is the one swimming in the pool and the one with her nose hanging into the picture is her litter mate, Breyanne. We also have an Irish Setter, Madysyn. They were all the same age and played and wrestled together each and every day.
She was always my companion when I was sleeping and would lay right by my side. Whenever I was feeling down and crying in my bed, Bayley would come lick the tears from my face. That’s just the sweet type of dog she was. Unfortunately, these experiences with her are now gone but never forgotten. In July of 2009, at the young age of 6, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. The doctor said she most likely would only live two more months. We treated her non-aggressively and kept her comfortable for as long as we could. Being the strong dog she is, she endured the disease for 6 months without complaining or whimpering before it finally took over in January of 2010.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Jon Pennell and everyone from the Spencer Springs Animal Hospital for being there for us during this whole ordeal. The compassion and support we received from their office helped us greatly through the whole experience. We will forever keep Bayley in our hearts and her memories close to us always.
