We lost a legend, the end of an era. William (also known as Sir. William and Mr. Bill) born August 20, 2008, left our world on Sunday, September 15, 2024. William blessed our lives for sixteen amazing years. Yes, 16 years!! That boy was unstoppable, a noble and steady companion, best friend, amazing snuggler, and what a goof ball he could be. He was an integral part of our family, taking his rightful place in all activities, big and small. The many adventures he had roaming the 100-acre wood, chasing all kinds of critters big and small, making sure we all were guarded throughout the night, lounging in front of the campfire either in his own camp chair or taking his place on one of the many laps that welcomed him. His favorite lap to lounge on Grandma’s, and oh the love they shared. Not only a huge lovebug, William was a noble dog, standing proud, fiercely protective of his family, with a huge heart and a grand presence. Always watchful, William kept an eye on our every move, watching us closely, never missing a moment. An oh those eyes, the most beautiful loving eyes you would ever gaze into. He filled our lives with unconditional love and endless joy. His memory will forever be etched into our hearts, a bittersweet reminder of the wonderful dog he was. We will forever cherish the time we had with him and forever miss him. “If there is a heaven, it’s certain our animals are to be there. Their lives become so interwoven with our own, it would take more than an archangel to detangle them.” – Pam Brown
