Dear Dex,

Thank you for bringing us so many loving memories. Two of our favorites are when you ate mother's bagels and when the construction literally scared the shit out of you on our way to work.

Dex, do you remember when mother came home from grocery shopping and left all the bags on the floor? Do you remember what you did while she was seeing our neighbors? She was shocked when she came home and found the bagels spilled across the hallway half eaten! She was thankful after finding two whole bagels, but after close examination saw bite marks in them and lost all hope. You seemed extremely satisfied after your afternoon snack, and she was so upset with you, she sent you to bed without dinner. We think you understood why.

The one time you ran outside was an experience father will never forget. You usually don't like walks, are easily distracted by all the different smells, and always took the longest time to get to work. While walking to work one day, you were so frightened by the noise from the construction site that you began barking loudly and ran all the way to the office. Father tried picking you up, but you just kept running. And while calming down at the office, had to let go of your poop! We're sorry the construction scared you so much, but it was amazing to see you run outside.

We love you very much, miss you and can't wait to see you again. Hope you are enjoying the wonderful feast and taking lots of naps.

love, Mother & Father
