Emma died May 15th, after a fight with cancer diagnosed in October 2009. She was my best friend. She was, without fail, happy to see me (us) and greeted everyone with a wiggle and a wonderful wookie noise. A wiggle trapped in a dog. Emma howled at sirens, bounced through fields like Pepe Le Pew, she loved to ride in the car and take long walks by the river. She was really good at living. She played hard and slept well, she even snored. Emma would sit beside me and press into me as if to hug me in her own special way. Emma was a gift to me from someone that could not care for her. Such a great and wonderful gift. I , we, miss her beyond words. Thank you to Dr Sellon and WSU for all you have done.
