Oslo

A donation was made in memory of Oslo by Rene Stern on May 17, 2015.

Oslo, was the happy, smiling golden retriever who was the namesake and greeter at OSLO’s A Men’s Store atop Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, Washington. Oslo was 11 years old and battling canine bone cancer for the last 8 months of his life.

From 2005 – 2011, Oslo worked as a shop dog at OSLO’s A Men Store. He was the business’ namesake and mascot and served as the greeter on most days of the week. Often lying outside on the sidewalk. He was popular with the people passing by, customers and children who got their haircut at Oslo’s. Oslo attained celebrity status appearing in several local and national publications.

He lived his entire life in Queen Anne and spent the last 4 years of his life in retirement, still often seen on Queen Anne Avenue outside of Starbuck’s, All the Best Pet Store and Menchie’s. He loved chasing tennis balls at both Bhy Kracke Park on the east side of Queen Anne and the East Queen Anne Playground.
