Rosie

A donation was made in memory of Rosie by Dr. Sederstrom on Jul 13, 2016.

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to talk about Rosie. Rosie was a Chihuahua, she was white with brown spots, and has the most beautiful brown eyes that would melt the heart of everyone. So everyone can know more about my "baby girl" and "princess" were her nicknames I called her a friend of mine called Rosie "mammas". She was a working dog, for almost 4 years she accompanied me to a doctors appointment. They always complimented her behavior, you would never know Rosie was around. She helped with my anxiety, I felt less anxious around her and secure. Rosie always knew when it was time to go or stay home. I got Rosie 4 years ago, a lady was bringing her to the pound and I happened to be there on other business. So the lady let me take Rosie home and save her from the pound. I believe Rosie and I had an instant bond the minute the lady handed her to me. Her name wasn't Rosie but I changed it, because she was my Rose. She was a very smart girl, she fit in after a day, and immediately knew the rules of the household. She would keep the boys in the house in line. Our other Chihuahua Jack took an instant liking to Rosie, she taught Jack to go up and down the stairs outside. Rosie's favorite pastime was sunning herself, she like to lay in the sun. Rosie protected me and protected our area, she was my best friend she stayed on my bed and guarded her territory. I will forever and always love my Rosie, she maybe gone but not forgotten. My bed and room area is empty without her. Rosie had a heart condition, she didn't let that stop her from doing her job and being my companion and best friend. If there was a time that Rosie couldn't go with me, she would be in the window waiting for my return. She greeted me with her big brown eyes and a lick. Also she knew how to take care of me, no matter if I was sick, or stressed she wouldn't leave my side. Rosie took care of me to the very end, her last appointment with me, she wasn't feeling good, but she put that aside to be there waiting for me to put her harness on to be ready to go. When the harness came off in the past she knew her work was done, but that didn't keep her from watching over me and being by my side. I like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus for putting Rosie in my life, I guess he knew I needed her. I pray one day that Rosie and I will be reunited, at that time she will be healthy. I also want to send a thank you to Valley Veterinary Clinic in Spokane for all of the care they provided her. Especially to Dr. Sederstrom for her generous donation on Rosie's behalf so everyone can know what a special girl she was. I will forever love my Rosie, its hard for me to say, I do miss my baby girl but I know she's at peace. Rosie touched my heart and the hearts of everyone who knew her. I remember a story that a groomer told me that the boys weren't fully cooperating and she made sure the boys followed the rules. Rosie did also like to chase the cat, she entertained me with chasing the cat. Rosie also loved car rides, she would walk with me to get into the car without distraction. So I hope you all know how special Rosie was and still is, she wont be forgotten by those who loved her especially me. Thank You Jesus for giving the best girl in the whole world. I also appreicted the letter I got from WUS pet memorial, upon reading the letter they would refer to Rosie by her name. They didn't say "dog" or "pet" because Rosie was more than that.
